Anger Management: Visualize Yourself as Calm

When you find yourself becoming angry, try to visualize yourself as calm and in a peaceful state.  Imagine yourself relaxed, your voice calm, your muscles loose, and your hands steady.

People often find that imagining themselves that way leads to them starting to feel that way. As they think of themselves in a peaceful state, they actually enter a peaceful state. Over time, it becomes even easier to move into this relaxed state simply by imagining themselves in that state.
